Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Lei Yan ("Mahjong Station", "we", "us") about your use of www.mahjongstation.com and its games. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who can use Mahjong Station

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms. The games are for entertainment and learning only.

No gambling

Mahjong Station has no real-money play, betting or prizes. Points, postcards, ranks and other in-game items have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred or sold. Nothing on the site is an offer of gambling.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it. You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Free play, ads and rewards

Most of Mahjong Station is free and paid for by advertising. Some tools (such as extra hints or coach questions) can be unlocked by watching a rewarded video. A reward is given only when the video is watched to the end, and there is a daily limit. Ad availability depends on the ad network and your privacy choices, so we cannot promise a video will always be available.

Pro subscription and prices

Pro unlocks unlimited coach questions, full hand replays, in-depth explanations and every limited Pet Mahjong theme. Current prices (USD; local taxes are added at checkout where required):

• Pro monthly: $1.99 per month.
• Pro yearly: $14.99 per year.
• Single Pet Mahjong theme: $1.99, a one-time purchase you keep.
• Pro plans start with a 7-day free trial. The exact price, billing period and trial are shown again on the checkout before you pay.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged if you cancel before it ends, and we will remind you before the first charge where the law requires it.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Creem (creem.io). Creem is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes your payment, charges and remits sales tax or VAT, issues your receipt and handles refunds and billing questions.

Refund policy

• You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of any payment (a subscription charge, including the first charge after a free trial, or a theme purchase), for any reason.
• To ask, reply to your Creem receipt email or write to [email protected]. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
• After 14 days, refunds are given where the consumer law of your country requires it. EU and UK customers keep their statutory rights.
• Cancelling a subscription stops future charges; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• break the law or others' rights while using the site;
• try to get around limits, quotas, ads or paywalls, or claim rewards you did not earn;
• use bots, scrapers or automated play, or overload our systems;
• attack, probe or reverse-engineer the service, except as the law allows;
• post or send anything abusive, hateful or misleading through our forms.

Our content

The games, coach, tile artwork, text and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial play. Mahjong rules themselves are not owned by anyone; our explanations of them are. We do not reproduce official rule cards of any league or association.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything. Please do not send us anything confidential.

The coach's advice

The mahjong coach suggests moves based on probability and common strategy. It can be wrong, and rules vary between tables. Use it as a learning aid, not as a guarantee.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or that saved progress will never be lost. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and ending the service

We may change these terms or the service. If a change is significant we will tell you on the site before it takes effect; continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms. We may stop offering a game or feature; if you have a paid subscription, we will give reasonable notice and a pro-rata refund for any unused paid period.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR, and the courts of the Hong Kong SAR have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live in the EU or the UK, you also have the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring a claim in your local courts.
